Drama Night Auditions
Drama Night 2006
Cinderella-205
A simple slave, a serving- girl,
Who dared not dream another world
Who, luck and fortune both denied,
Could only be seen to cry
Made to work like someone's maid
By mother, sisters, proud and vain
Who cared for nothing but themselves
To whom money meant it all
One day arrived a letter sent
From royal palace, asking that
All girls attend a ball one night
For the prince would choose a bride
The sisters, being vain and proud
Couldn't help but think that they stood out
That all the other girls their age
Had no place on the stage
They needed dresses for the ball
And since those in shops were deemed too small
They had to have theirs custom-made
By who else, but the maid.
Who, after which, was locked at home
And saw, through tears, a carriage grown
From pumpkins, round fat ugly things
By her fairy godmother
She's dressed and ready set to go
But keep the rules, so she is told
Leave at midnight, no later,
Or you'll change back to a maid
At long last she reached palace doors
And, setting foot on marble floors
Set the prince's heart ablaze
So with him she danced the night away
At stroke of midnight, did she flee
Lest her sisters return to see
House left empty and pumpkins gone
And her rags left on the lawn
She made it neatly, just on time
But when the sun began to shine
She heard the prince was here to try
Searching for his elusive bride
He said "This shoe fits perfectly,
The one she left when she did flee
This shows, indeed, I am lucky
My love, please marry me"
Her sisters, overcome by tears
Hardly dared believe their ears
When Cinderella finally spoke
And dashed the prince's hopes
"I'm thankful, you are very kind
But to marry you, I must be blind
For you're not that much of a looker,
And besides, I'm with the gardener."

I like the twist! We didn't get in but it was quite fun preparing and stuff. Okay, then after the auditions, which lasted for more than two hours or something, there was this talk on whatever. My legs were aching like shit already so Elyssa and I decided to skip it, went back to 105 classroom to change out and then collect class tee with some others. And then later for the fear of being caught, Elyssa, Jia Wen, Penelope and I went back to the hall and listened to the last part of the talk, didn't get a single thing though.
After that, Elyssa, Hui Qi, Jia Wen, Penelope and Yi-Lin went to Burger King @ Far East for lunch. Bumped into Afiqah, Atiqa and Sheila there! Hahaha, then after a while Diyanah, Liyana and Syahidah came as well! What a coincidence :D Elyssa had to go back to school to get her precious skirt, so the rest of us decided to start prankcalling, hahaha. Atiqa's damn pro at it. Prankcalled a lot of people, hahaha! Couldn't find my ass 'cause I laughed it off man.
Then Elyssa and I left at around 4PM 'cause we both had something on, so yeah. Went all the way to Lavender and Mummy picked me up from there and went back to her office. And we went to have dinner with her friends. One of her friends brought along her grandson (Zi Jian), damn cute :) But it's quite sad 'cause the reason why he is with her is that his mother gave birth to him and refused to care for him and stuff. That's damn irresponsible. Mummy took pictures Zi Jian, showed him and asked, 'Handsome or not?', 'Cute or not?'. He kept nodding!

Over the weekends, I didn't go fishing, didn't go kite-flying! Instead, I cleaned up my desk, went to Vivocity with my parents, and played a lot of Sims 2.
